Welcome

Exams Manager/Officer of the Year 2026

I am delighted to announce the outcome of the Exams Manager/Officer of the Year 2026 awards.

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit a nomination. This year's awards attracted almost 200 nominations, reflecting the outstanding commitment, professionalism and dedication shown by exams managers and officers across the UK and internationally.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to our judging panel, comprising representatives from AQA, Cambridge OCR, NCFE, Pearson and WJEC, for the considerable time they devoted to reviewing and scoring each nomination.

To be shortlisted from such a strong field of nominees is a significant achievement, so my congratulations go to all ten shortlisted exams managers and officers.

The standard this year was exceptionally high. After all the scores had been reviewed, just two points separated the top five nominees, while only ten points separated the top eight. The closeness of the judging reflected the remarkable quality of the nominations received.

In recognition of these exceptional contributions, we have increased the number of runners-up to four this year, including one international colleague who has been recognised through our International Exams Manager/Officer of the Year award.

I am therefore delighted to congratulate our Exams Manager/Officer of the Year 2026:

Jade Hussey
Trinity Catholic School, Leamington Spa

Congratulations also go to our runners-up:

  • Stuart Willis – Upper Wharfedale School, Skipton
  • Michelle Trigg – Henley Bank High School, Gloucester
  • Kerry Repton – Derby Moor Spencer Academy, Derby
  • Julian Felice – Gibraltar College, Gibraltar

I am also pleased to confirm that Julian Felice has been named our International Exams Manager/Officer of the Year 2026.

On behalf of everyone at The Exams Office and the National Association of Examinations Officers, congratulations to all of our winners and shortlisted nominees. Your professionalism, dedication and commitment to supporting candidates and maintaining the integrity of the examinations system are greatly valued and deserve this recognition.

The awards, together with certificates and gift vouchers, will be presented at the NAEO Summer Conference at The Oval on 6 July. I look forward to celebrating with our winners and recognising the achievements of our profession.
